This site is run by AARDVARK MARKETING & DEVELOPMENT a Web based company set up by Tony Murtagh in order to use the wide experience he has in sales and marketing to help people take advantage of the huge opportunities becoming available on the Web.

Tony, who lives in England, has wide experience in both business to business and consumer sales and marketing . He spent the first part of his career involved in sales, sales management, marketing and PR. He was a National Sales Manager for a mobile communications company and had his own publishing company producing a monthly Business to Business magazine.

He has spent the last ten years working in the hospitality industry, again with the emphasis on marketing and PR, and with the added role of staff training.

He has also acted as PR consultant to a number of small businesses.

He first became actively involved in the Internet when he designed a Web site for his local golf club. His first commercial site was The Shopping Centre, an online shopping mall. This site is still running (together with Womens fashion - top British fashion wear and bringing in a steady income, but he decided his first love had always been sales, marketing and training, so he launched Develop Your Web Site and Yourself in June 2000. In July 2000 he launched an accompanying ezine - AARDVARK MARKETING & DEVELOPMENT.

He launched Romantic Ideas early in 2003 followed by Romantic Poetry and then re-launched Develop Your Web Site and Yourself in May 2003 under the new name of Home Base Business.

He has now launched the Credit Card Shop and the Loan Shop, both aimed at the UK market and Loans and Credit Cards aimed at the US market.

Also, following the BBC TV series, he has started Grumpy Old Men!!

Tony has written several articles which have appeared in numerous ezines (see Testimonials).

Tony is married to Helen, and between them they have four grown up children.

Helen runs her own web sites - Shop-til-U-Drop, Valentines Gifts, Fathers Day Gifts.and Shopping for Christmas.
